Protecting Your Rights

David was raised in Modesto, California (the birthplace of George Lucas). He wrestled, kickboxed, and played football in high school. David left California and attended college at Michigan State University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Finance in 2007. David attended the University of Nevada – Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of law and received his Juris Doctorate in 2011.
During law school he externed at the Las Vegas City Attorney’s Office and for the Honorable Douglas Smith, of the Eighth Judicial District Court of Nevada.
After law school, David predominantly worked in insurance defense. Based on how he saw the insurance companies treat people who have been wronged or injured, David determined that he would prefer to fight for the wronged individuals. Thereafter, he worked for one of the largest personal injury firms in the Las Vegas Valley. While working at the personal injury law firm, David helped recover millions of dollars for injured people.
Based on his experiences David decided the best way to serve the Las Vegas Community was to open his own law firm. David was tired of seeing people treated poorly by insurance companies, big businesses, employers, and other bad actors that would prey on people with little resources or opportunity to be heard. He has decided to dedicate his skills to helping the under-served in the community.
David is a member of the Nevada State Bar, and has practiced before all the courts in Nevada, including the Supreme Court of Nevada, the United States District Court, District of Nevada, and the United States Court of Appeals, 9th Circuit. In his career, Mr. Markman has successfully represented many clients, including serving as counsel in a class action lawsuit against Zuffa LLC, regarding the technical difficulties during the McGregor v. Mayweather fight; the case resulted in a multi-million dollar settlement.
David also enjoys snowboarding, playing and watching sports, volunteering in the community, playing poker, playing with his dogs and going for a Sunday afternoon cruise.
